October 22,2025# I sat here in the parking lot of shell by hwy 55; to debate about my heart surgery since Chevy shuttle down the street never showed up to take me down there to look at vehicles and to purchase one on my great credit. so I called st Francis hospital 🏥 in Monroe Louisiana and left message for the specialist transport case manager to come and pick me up from Jackson Mississippi since Jackson Mississippi Amr refused to take me there. so there you go, heart 💜❤️ surgery due to all the accusers in my life. True story.

St. Francis Medical Center

For over a century, St. Francis Medical Center has been the birthplace of babies in Northeast Louisiana. Our patient-focused, family-centered approach to healthcare for women and children helped us become one of the largest birthing hospitals in the region, with thousands of babies born here since we opened our doors in July of 1913. Our goal of providing you and your loved ones with the highest level of healthcare available in the area remains steadfast. We offer the area’s only Level III OB unit, OB-ED, Maternal-Fetal Medicine Clinic and Level III NICU.

Congratulations!

You’re going to be a new mom. It’s exciting news, but what can follow is worry, anxiety and all those “what ifs.” We get it. Thankfully, your healthcare team has years of experience doing one thing—delivering babies.

High-Risk Pregnancies.

The Maternal-Fetal Medicine Clinic at St. Francis Medical Center is here to address the unique challenges of high-risk births. Our maternal-fetal experts are highly trained OB/GYNs themselves, but with additional formal education and clinical experience. You’ll be in the caring hands of physicians, nurses, and sonographers who understand you may need to make tough decisions. They’ll walk you through options and help you weigh the risks to yourself and your baby.

St. Francis offers this area’s only Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). During your baby’s stay, our highly-skilled team, including our two neonatologists, will work closely with one another in planning appropriate care for development based upon the needs of your baby and family, as well as assisting you in preparation for discharge.
